After leaving France early in the morning, we headed towards the Eurotunnel to make our way over to London. We got in around 4pm and checked into our last hostel then headed out for Christmas dinner with Isaac, Cindy and Cassie. As it was Christmas, there wasn’t a whole lot open, but we found this little restaurant for fish and chips. We left highly unsatisfied and tired, so we headed back to our hostel to go to bed.

We only had half a day in London before needing to catch our flight, so we got up early and tried to cram everything in.
Our first stop was the Monument of to the Great Fire of London, then London Bridge. Once we got there, we were a little confused. It seemed like a regular concrete bridge? That’s when we did a quick Google search to find, like many other people, when we thought of the London Bridge, we were actually thinking of the Tower Bridge. So, wound our way through the side streets to see Borough Market (closed!), the Shard, City Hall, Potters Fields Park, the Tower of London and London Wall. After a quick stop at the Tower Bridge, we headed off to see Shakespeare’s Globe, Millennium Bridge and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Since it was Boxing Day and most places were closed, we weren’t able to visit many museums. The Tower Bridge museum was closed, so we just hung around and admired the structure.
At a nearby pub, we met up with Issac, Cindy and Cassie one last time. We again had fish and chips (why? I don’t know.) and said our goodbyes. Priscilla and I had a plane to catch, so I could be back at work the next day.
